And just like that, we are 17 weeks along; actually 17 weeks and a couple of days as I finally get around to finishing this post.
Everything is going great with the pregnancy. I’m enjoying the 2nd trimester bliss; feeling good, growing bigger but not super uncomfortable yet, and so, so close to the best part of pregnancy - feeling baby move. There have been a couple of times I thought maybe I felt flutters, but I’m not totally sure yet.
In two weeks the dads will be flying over from France for the ultrasound! We can’t wait to see them again and to find out if they’re having a boy or a girl! At my last prenatal appointment the doctor did a quick ultrasound for us, just to check in on baby and have a fun video to send the guys. She did a few measurements and everything was perfect. It was awesome to see the little wiggle worm moving around.
I’ve been getting a little more tired out by the end of the day, but given the added weight I’m carrying around and the busyness of our days I shouldn’t find that surprising. Our precious foster baby girl is 9 months old now! She came to us when she was 4 months old, so she's now been with us longer than not. She is busy, busy, busy. She loves to crawl around, as fast as lightening, and find every morsel on the floor to stuff in her mouth. She’s also recently discovered the dog food and water. In other words, she keeps me on my toes!! With my expanding belly I am finding it harder to bend over and pick stuff up 😂 and I still have about 22 more weeks to go! So it will be an interesting journey to say the least.
Arabella finished up her basketball season last weekend and is jumping right into soccer. Teagen will also be playing soccer this spring and Finnegan is super excited for his first attempt at t-ball. More than ever, he is really looking up to Brad, and when he found out that Brad played baseball, there was no stopping him. He now wants to play football, basketball, and baseball, just like dad. ❤️ As far as heroes go, I don’t think he could choose better.
We’ve been keeping an eye on Minnesota weather, and I can’t say we’re jealous of the bucketloads of snow getting dumped on Winona. Well. I should rephrase. I can’t say that I am jealous! We’ve had the littlest bit of snow here, and the kids have really enjoyed playing in it. I for one am ready for warmer spring temperatures and gorgeous flowers popping up all over the place. I have big plans to get out and start taking walks once it warms up... we’ll see how I do ;)
