I got the good news we were hoping for today, woo hoo!!
This morning I headed into Portland bright and early for my ultrasound and labs, and learned something in the process. I do not like heading into Portland bright and early 😂 Me and about, oh, a bazillion other people were headed the same way and the drive took FOR.EV.ER. Despite leaving super early I was nervous I was going to be late, but I got there with two minutes to spare. 😅
When you see that your last 3.4 miles are going to take 20 minutes, you debate hopping out and just running the rest of the way. Too bad I’m not currently in top running form 😂
My face for most of the drive, as I watched the “expected arrival” time on my GPS creep in the wrong direction:
But, I made it on time, and started with the ultrasound. The cyst in my left ovary was still there, as expected. It was the same size as last week, which was hopefully a good sign because that means that it hasn’t changed. My uterine lining was measuring a cushy 13.47mm, perfect for a nice little embryo to snuggle right into. But I knew what really mattered were the labs.
Then they drew my labs and the longest wait of the week began. I knew I wouldn’t hear from them until later in the afternoon, but that didn’t stop me from checking my email every 4 minutes or so all day. 🙃
Finally we got the good word - no progesterone! So we are all set for the transfer on Tuesday! I start a new injection tonight (ironically progesterone) so tomorrow morning I have to go back to the lab and have more blood drawn. Today we wanted no progesterone, tomorrow we want progesterone.
Tomorrow I will also have my last acupuncture session prior to the transfer. All the pieces are coming together! I’m super excited to keep moving forward!
